Like so many people, I was excited last year when it was announced for the first time that Lagos would have its Real Housewives reality show on April 8, 2022. Livespot produces the Real Housewives of Lagos with Dare Art Alade as its Chief Creative Director for Showmax. Livespot has been the brain behind so many successful events in Nigeria such as Cardi B’s unforgettable show at Livespot X Festival in Lagos and Accra and The Falz experience.
The City of Lagos, Mega City, the commercial capital of Nigeria and Africa, has a lot of mix to it from business to fashion, culture, relaxation, and its Opulent and Extravagant Lifestyle. Once you get into Lagos, the hustling spirit is contagious, if you aren’t used to it. Lagos keeps you on your toes, as for money none is left to waste no crumb can be found left on the streets of Lagos. It is a known fact that if you can make it in Lagos, you can make it anywhere in the world.
Everyone waited in anticipation for the cast of the Real Housewives of Lagos (RHOL) and we weren’t disappointed. The show centers on real-life issues African Women go through daily from family, managing their businesses to relationships, Career, societal pressure, and Lifestyle. Every cast is a Queen in her own right with, business moguls and big fashionistas.
The First season of the Real Housewives of Lagos drew a record-breaking audience on social media platforms. It had the most first-day views on Showmax in Nigeria and was the trending topic on Twitter now called X in Nigeria, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. The Real Housewives Franchise is a multi-million dollar program from the production companies to the cast.
The highest Real Housewife is said to be making $900,000 per season and the Real Housewives of Lagos are also making it big time. They don’t disclose a specific amount but let us know it’s high and other benefits such as brand endorsements that come with being a Real Housewife which Chioma disclosed in an interview with Channels TV.
The families of the cast members were shown while portraying family values in the country with some people having a different take on the old views. The business side of each Real Housewife was shown and the beautiful culture in the nation was always emphasized. We got to see through the lives of the RHOL some of the daily struggles of the average man, what is lacking in some areas in the country, and their way of giving back to society.

The RHOL let us into their glamorous lives by giving us a look into their homes, the way they relax, entertain themselves, and have luxurious travels. With fashion, they represented the Nigerian culture and also showcased a lot of Nigerian Fashion brands.
Fashion on the Real Housewives of Lagos has been big starting from luxurious Home grown brands to international brands. Each cast brought out their style for each scene and promoted fashion in an extravagant way.

With all the hats Chioma Good Hair puts on, she always looks stylish, which she brought on the RHOL since it started.
IYABO OJO aka Queen Mother
Iyabo Ojo is a renowned Nollywood actress and director who has featured in over 150 films and has produced more than 14 of her own through her production company called Fespris Production. She has a podcast called The Gold Room with Iyabo Ojo where successful entrepreneurs, entertainers, dignitaries, and celebrities get to share their success stories. She has an eatery called Fespris Limited where local delicacies are served, a fashion store for both men and women Fespris Clothing and Fedelwears.

Toyin Lawani popularly known as the King of Fashion is a serial entrepreneur, great fashion designer, international celebrity stylist, and CEO of Tiannahs Place Empire, a group with 33 businesses. She was the amazing costume designer for King of Boys, The Return of the King, and Shanty Town. Toyin’s style is bold and unconventional.
